As past owner of Just for You Wellness Studio in Surrey, BC, Karen Sydenham is one of BC’s most sought-after and dynamic fitness and health professionals. With years of education and experience under her belt, Karen has earned the respect of her peers, and students alike, facilitating/leading in roles such as, Fitness Leadership educator, Health and Wellness Director and First Aid/CPR Program Representative and Instructor Trainer for the Canadian Red Cross.
Karen began teaching in the health and fitness industry in the early 1980’s, at which time she enrolled at Douglas College, to complete her Bachelors in Physical Education. During that time, she completed her Fitness Leadership Program, through Simon Fraser University in 1986. Over the next 30 years, Karen certified in many fitness and dance genres, where she gained a dedicated following, utilizing her health expertise and innovative and fun approach to fitness.
Karen is a BCRPA Trainer of Fitness Leaders (in training), and is certified in a variety of fitness modules including, Yoga, Pilates and Weight Training. She specializes in post rehabilitative programming and seniors fitness and health. She works as a Personal Trainer and Health Coach, and mentors many new fitness professionals in the field. All tolled, she has taught thousands of classes and has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of lives through her years of coaching/leading.
